Enough with the Yu-gi-oh TM

Is it me or has anyone else noticed that Yugi/Yami/Pharoh has completely dominated all the cover art for the North American releases of the Shonen Jump magazine series? I mean come on, yeah I know they're using bland associations to boost sales but isn't all this quite enough. The manga version of Yugioh is so different from its' fox-kids-afied anime counterpart that anyone who bought the magazine for that would be sorely disappointed. For example, in the manga version of Yugioh: Kaiba kills people, there's a baby in a bunny suit that constantly gropes Anzu, and Yugi or whatever has no quarrels with sending numberous people to their equivalent of damnation. JUST STOP WITH THE COVERS, I'd like to see some more of Hikaru no Go or Naruto.

Ichigo 100% - 12 End WTF?!

In what has to be one of the most sudden and pointless endings in all of anime history the series Ichigo 100% based off the popular manga of the same name has apparently ended. I thought the ending for .Hack//Legend of the Twilight Bracelet was pointless and sudden but this takes the starwberry cake! I'll be looking forward to the next three OVAS but I won't be holding my breath.

Mär Mär Märchen

I love animes with embedded children's picture books in which small furry woodland creatures mirror the complex storyline of the main anime in a concise and cute manner fitting for children. Animes such as Chobits, Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien, and Mahoraba ~ Heartful Days have prime examples of children's books which are the greatest mirrors on reality. The Akashi books of Chobits, Mayaru's Gift in KGNE, and Shiratori Ryushi's originals in Mahoraba truly reflect the complex interations of life in their simplest form -- acted through small woodland creatures.

ESL, .Hack, and Bosom Friends?

Three seemingly unrelated subjects, english as a second language, .Hack//Sign, and Bosom Friends somehow blend beautifully into two great animes. For anyone who wants to learn grammatically proper english through english dubbed anime, .Hack//Sign and ROD TV are probably the best in the quality of voice acting. The hours (and I do mean hours) of nothing but conversation will surely boost one's english skill. As for Bosom Friends, it actually is in a book from the ROD TV series which is one of the most bizarre mirrors of the relationship between the characters Anita and Hisa!

Best of the Breast

My breasts are like the communist party… red and bloated from the hands of my comrades.

My breasts are like the Hoover Dam… synonymous with sucking and bursting to leak.

My breasts are like a 7/11… opens all the time and dispensing drinks.

ps. I don't mean to offend anyone, all just in jest.

Shuffle!

New to the anime scene is the newly h-game adaptation anime - Shuffle! What I can only describe as Da Capo meets DearS, Shuffle! I truly hope will a genuinely good anime after the great tradition of h-game adaptations (just when did that all start anyway?) such as Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien. So look forward to Shuffle!

Hajimete no Posting desu ka?

Alright, so my previous website went into the cyber slums after starting school again and now I can't seem to update it anymore. But without further complaining I'll get to the point. I just want to be able to easily post some random thoughts mostly about anime. I'll put this out right now, I AM A TOTAL OTAKU. The rest we'll see...
