3. Check out the updated Blue La Flaga with new anime dictionary functionality added to the reviews structure.

PEACE OUT, GOD IN HEAVEN ALL IS RIGHT WITH THE WORLD

Sore Ja Desu

This might be my last post for a while from BOAS since I'm going on vacation tomorrow, so I thought I'd say something inspirational... Umm I don't have anything to say, so let's have an anime archer fight! Which would win green or blue!?

P.S. Don't think you just can just stop posting X/Z (this is easier to write)

Internet Outage

My internet went out for 3 days from Friday July 22nd to today July 25th. I can't be held responsible for my lack of diligence during these trying times. God bless.

Akahori Gedou Hour Rabuge

Kind of like a prime-time happy hour mix of two mahou shoujo animes, Zettai Seigi Rabu Feromon ("Absolute Justice Love Pheromone") and Sore Yuke! Gedou Otometai ("Heretical Maidens"), both by creator Akahori Satoru. Really random and kinda funny stuff.

Twinkle Blink

http://www.geocities.com/laflaga/Blinking.gif
for an annoying animated Gif.

Tsubasa Music

The full OST for Tsubasa Chronicle is released and is very stylish indeed. Featuring the musical compositions from Yuki Kajiura who composed for the .Hack series and Gundam Seed Destiny, Tsubasa Chronicle OST lives up to its predecessors. Highly recommended for those neo-classical/japanese orchestral music fans.

Triple K shuffle K okay?

In the new summer series shuffle there is an organization with the acronym KKK, I'm not making this up, which stands for kitto kitto kaede. It's sort of like her body-guard/fanclub group; but seriously the Japanese really know how to make inappropriate mistakes. Why don't I just make up the Krazy Kristen Korean group?!

Kawaii dessho!

Isn't it cute! IT IS CUTE!!! KAWAIII!!!!

Oven Baked Potato Chips

Ingredients:
2 Russet Potatos
5 Table spoons of vegetable oil
2 Sprigs of thyme (optional)
Salt

Method: Clean and peel two well-shaped russet potatos. Once peeled cut the potatos into ~ 1 cm thick slices down the longest axis. Proceed to cut these potato slices down their longest axis until the potatos are in long narrow strips in the shape of fries. Wash the cut potatos to remove surface starch and dry. Oil a baking sheet with 3 table spoons of vegetable oil and layer the fries on the sheet to the thickness of one layer. Spead the remaining 2 table spoons of oil evenly over the top of the fries. If wanted put the 2 sprigs of thyme over the fries while baking to add extra flavor. Bake the fries at 425 degrees farenheit for 35-40 minutes turning the fries every 10 mintues. Enjoy!

Shuffle! Again...

Alright, so I kinda left this out of the summer anime lineup, but it is out there and so so good!

Oyako

It’s been sung through all generations there is nothing like the love of a mother for her child. Her love is warm, all embracing, even of temper, and mild. In her arms she staves off the danger, as her child sleeps she smiles. Throughout all her life, she will sacrifice living each moment her love is realized.

Summer Season

SO IT'S HOT and the summer season is fully on us and so are the new summer animes. I've already mentioned a few of the more noteworthy titles but I'll repeat them here anyway.
1. Amaenaide Yo! //Harem anime with a flavor of buddhism *never thought I'd say that* it's all about being a teenage priest while living with several attractive young teenage nuns.
2. Boku wa Imouto Koi wo Suru //Only a one episode OVA but worth mention if you're into this kinda stuff. Think Da Capo Nemu-Jyunichi relationship taken to the next level of explictness, and yes they are twins... OH the art style is really annoying shoujo MARS kinda, not really my taste.
3. Da Capo ~ Second Season //The titled kinda says it all, if you loved Da Capo like I did then You'll love this too; but if you're in the Da Crapo ~ Still Shitty camp then you'll hate it.
4. Kidou Shinsengumi Moeyo Ken //Another shinsengumi title, this time following the ficticious daughters of Kondou, Hijikata, and Okita who btw died at an early age.
5. Kamichu! //Meet the middle school girl god. This cute summer series is in the style of Hayao Miyazaki and contains the same wonderous characters beyond the imagination.
6. Okusama wa Joshikousei //Onegai Teacher w/o the aliens and with a male sensei or Ichigo 100% done right, your pick really.
7. Suzuku //Probably a Japanese government ploy to get their youth out and about during summer, it's a drama love anime about Track & Field?!

Looking for a mundane anime to fill that hole in your life? Try Suzuka a high school romance shoujo type anime about track and field. Yay...

The Eternal Question

Now that summer is in full swing and the days are hot, this is the eternal question. Stay cool!

Certain Something in the AIR

Psyche, this post has nothing to do with AIR the wonderful anime that fills you with the feelings of a mother and child - Oyako. Actually I sat on a couch that I had since my last apartment and it smelt weird. The smell was kinda like burnt rice, soy sauce, and old newspapers; so I guess it kinda smelt like Chinese people.

Da Capo Wallpapers

House Curry Sauce

For lunch today I had two hard boiled eggs, some rotiserie chicken with shrimp, and a platter of house brand curry sauce. Here's the thing, the curry sauce isn't spicy in the least! I'm just saying that if you advertise your curry as being "Hot" then actually make it somewhat spicy.

Kotori Shirakawa Greetings

From Kotori-chan, Ohayossu! = mornin! chiwassu! = afternoon! even'in! = kobanwassu!? Kamo...

London

So as everyone knows there were horrible terrorist attacks on the London Metro and bus system today, and as a proud supporter of the British Commonwealth I felt I should say something. If there is one thing I've ever learnt from Gundam Seed and Gundam Seed Destiny is that the world isn't a simple place and even the most polite or well intentioned people suffer. If everything were as nice as Lacus-sama's song then this wouldn't be reality, so there you go.

Art House Japanimation

The weirdest thing I've ever seen since X-Play did that Weird Games segment featuring that Edgar Allan Poe point-click game is The Diary of Tortov Roddle. Though not exactly anime it was made in Japan and is animation, i.e. Japanimation... I managed only to watch six minutes before repressing it from my memory, I think I'll have nightmares tonight.

Okusama wa Joshikousei

New anime based off the manga of the same name, Okusama wa Joshikousei or My Wife is a High School Girl, has hit the anime scene. Kinda like Onegai Sensei without the aliens and with a male teacher this time around.

Culture Pill

So I'm wondering around the most ghetto library in the world and I notice that a book on Geisha was subjected with books on the oldest profession in the world. That just wrong! Get a culture pill, damn.

Something to the Imagination

I just saw War of the Worlds last night and I have a few thoughts on the matter. Don't worry this will contain no spoilers for I fear that Steven Spielberg will come after me now that he's finally snapped. First, the movie could have ended so many other ways in my opinion; one of which could have been Tom Cruise unsheathing a hidden katana and charging full speed at the aliens. Second, ET should have made a cameo appearance as an alien. Third, why the hell were the aliens' look hidden until now? (see the movie and you'll know what I'm talking about). Finally, I think the movie would have been better if Godzilla were in it, I'm just saying.
